Lacoste's deep roots in tennis paved the way for MATTE to create a cultural moment around tennis & fashion; establishing a reimagination of a retro athletic club, but with a twist of today.
MATTE delivered a full brand experience, with the Lacoste female community who escaped to play tennis, relax, and party Lacoste style.
In the lead up to the main activation day, MATTE worked with the Lacoste fashion styling team & esteemed creative director, Louise Trotter on curated Lacoste-styled outfits that were seeded as guests started their LA adventures.
With over 30 global influencers flying into LA, MATTE also managed all guest hospitality including glam needs & transfers through branded Lacoste car services. A bespoke L.A. Club Lacoste concierge service was established allowing talent to book & experience the exclusive hot spots of LA through a dedicated MATTE team.
MULHOLLAND TENNIS CLUB
The takeover of the LA establishment kicked off at center court with programming and partnerships centered around wellness and sport. Post workout, guests also quenched their thirst with freshly made smoothies and Lacoste x Erewhon custom juices.
Venus Williams Tennis Clinic
World-class icon Venus Williams led a tennis clinic for invitees, empowering young women on the branded Lacoste court with tips and tricks. Whether brand new to the sport or not, Williams brought an unforgettable energy that was felt by all on the court.
BANDIER PILATES CLINIC
While Venus served up, the adjacent court was outfitted with custom yoga mats and branded elements that elevated the pilates class taking place. Liana Levi of Bandier led a rigorous class, one that the stars of LA swear by.
SUNSET TOWER HOTEL
The club's LA takeover continued through the afternoon and evening. Guests returned to Sunset Tower Hotel in preparation for the rest of the day’s programming.
DAYTIME POOL
Guests kicked back, taking in the Southern California sunshine from the stunning pool deck at Sunset Tower Hotel. Branded towels, Lacoste x Erewhon juices, and photo moments were scattered throughout the outdoor area for all to enjoy.
PRIVATE DINNER
Hailey Bieber, Paris Jackson, and Elsa Hosk were just a few of the stars to be seated around the table for this intimate 3-course American-French fusion sunset dinner on the famous hotel pool deck.
VIP COCKTAIL PARTY
The iconic LA energy was sure to be felt as soon as you stepped into the Sunset Tower Hotel Bar. Custom Lacoste cocktails and DJ set by Simi Haze set the mood on this unforgettable, star studded evening.
