When Givenchy decided to open their first Soho flagship store, the brand called on MATTE to concept and execute a can’t-miss launch event at New York Fashion Week.

Inspired by the creative direction of the label’s FW22 campaign (shot by Nick Knight) and runway show, Givenchy hosted an unforgettable soirée that dominated this year’s fashion week after-party landscape.

The area by the bar was not only star studded, but strategically branded with windows, napkins, and ice cubes adorned with the fashion house’s emblem. The mixology itself was a creative take on a classic cocktails with negronis, watermelon margaritas, and more.

ANYBODY WHO IS ANYBODY WAS THERE

At Nine Orchard, the Lower East Side landmark and luxury hotel, we created a glowing light sculpture in the shape of Givenchy’s quadruple ‘G’ logo to serve as a beacon for party goers. And the call drew a crowd including some of the biggest names in fashion—from Amber Valetta to Eve Jobs to Bloody Osiris, who indulged in a champagne shower.

REAL NEW YORK VIBES FROM VENUS X AND PAUL SEVIGNY

The sounds of Paul Sevigny and Venus X served as the perfect soundtrack for an evening of dance, fun, and fashion—the night Vogue named “a Party for All the Cool Kids During NYFW.”
